Flavor
The rooibos plant's needle-like leaves produce a tea that looks similar to hibiscus tea, with an earthy flavor similar to yerba mate.
Preparation
Rooibos tea must steep for 5-6 minutes.
Effects
Our hypothesis is that consuming rooibos tea moves your brain into a low alpha wave state (≈ 7.8 Hz) in an EEG recording (just like caffeine-containing yerba matte).
